‘From Cumae to Pompeii’
The Art project began in 2007, and is inspired by the history, mythology,
and archeological heritage of The Phlegrean Fields and Campania region.
“…he breathed the atmosphere of archaeology, and it is not far from the truth to say that deep down he was an archaeologist, though of a very rare breed, beyond the normal range. Rather than in search of treasures from the earth, he probably scoured the landing-stage area that was Cumae for a deeper sense of freedom and creative truth, which by then he was arriving at by pure intuition, and which represented for him the only possible relationship with the outside world, since only within a dimension of such fantasy could he find its justification.” – Letizia Triches, ‘The Wandering Archaeologist’
